Young, Harry Alexander, 100, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, in Andover, Kansas. Harry was born April 16, 1913, in Caprin, Oklahoma to David and Eva Elizabeth (Miller) Young. He married Mary Jane Brodie on Augusta 9, 1958. She preceded him in death on September 6, 2001. Harry was a grain farmer and also worked for Boeing. He and Mary fostered many children who have been grateful for the care they received from "Dad and Mom" Young. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; spouse; and a son, Ronnie Young. He is survived by his son, Pete (Lani) Young of Rosemound, Texas; daughters, Janie (Kevin) McEwen of Andover, Kansas, and Carolyn (Gary) Bandy of Watauga, Texas; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and friends. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Andover on Tuesday, June 4, at 1:00 p.m. A memorial has been established with the Peace Lutheran Church, 405 West 21st Street, Andover, Kansas 67002.
