Alan Allred died at the age of 38 at his home from a bout with Cancer. He was the son of Alyce (Giles) Allred and Verle Morrill. At age 14, he moved with his family to Mexico, where he completed 3 years of his high school education. Back in his home town in Utah he graduated from Box Elder High School in 1981, graduating in the top 3% of his class. He earned Eagle Scout and served a mission for the Church of Latter Day Saints in Buenos ires, Argentina. He married Coleen Diane Barlow on August 24th, 1984 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Alan attended Brigham Young University. He graduated in 1988 with a Degree in Statistics/Computer Science. Later he completed several graduate engineering courses at Utah State University. Alan had a successful career at Thiokol Corporation where he was a Marketing and Program Manager. He earned several outstanding achievement awards there, as well as being active in his Church. Alan is survived by: his parents, Alyce and Verle, his wife of 17 years, Coleen, his two sons, Alexander Allred and Nicholas Allred, his daughter, Annabelle Allred, his siblings, three brothers, Brian Allred from Mapleton, Utah, Steven Allred from Kaysville, Utah, and Darin Allred from St. Louis, Missouri. And one sister, Karen Watkins from Elk Ridge, Utah.
