"Clinton---Leonard J. Ulrich Baldauf, 89, of 12 South St., a greenhouse owner and operator until retiring in 1961, died yesterday in his home. He was born and received his early education in Bavaria, Germany. He moved to Bayone, N. J., in 1890, where he lived before moving to Ogdensburg to attend a commercial school. He moved here in 1900 and was employed at the Russell Floral Shop until 1905 when he opened his greenhouse on South Street. He married Mary Ann Pankhurst in 1902. Mrs. Baldauf died in 1937. Mr. Baldauf married Joanna Irhler. She died in 1955. He married Minnie A. Teal in 1957. Mr. Baldauf was a member of Clinton Baptist Church. Besides his wife he leaves a son, Proctor P. Baldauf, Clinton, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harold Serbin, New York City. The funeral will be at 1:45 Friday from the Owens Funeral Home and at 2 from the Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Boswell officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow." ["Daily Press" (Utica, NY)]
