Mr. Sommer, age 81 passed away on February 21, 1974 at Veterans Hospital in Saginaw following a lingering illness. He was born in Merritt Township on May 8, 1892 and was a lifetime resident. On Deecember 26, 1922 he married the former Edna Robbins. Surviving are his wife Edna, on son and five daughters; fourteen grand children and eight great-grandchildren, one brother Albert Sommer of Munger one sister Mrs. Herman Sperling of Saginaw. Mr. Sommer was a retired farmer and later retired from Saginaw Service Parts Plant. He was a member of Munger Presbyterian Church, a Vetren of World War I and a member of Barrack No. 74 VFW. Interment at Floral Gardens.
