Francis Zwenger, 73, died June 14 at Hutchinson Hospital Hospice Care Unit. He was born May 22, 1927, in Hays, the son of Samuel and Rosa Staab Zwenger.

A resident of Great Bend since 1984, he was a electronic service technician and had worked at Hays Music, Interstate Electronics and Watson TV, all of Hays. Zwenger was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Great Bend and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.

Survivors include one daughter, Paula Robinson of Great Bend; two sisters, Lucille Ruder and Laurita Sanders, both of Overland Park; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Zwenger; two brothers, Joseph Zwenger and Eddie Zwenger; and two sisters, Sylvia Rupp and Lillian Naegele.

Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Cline's Mortuary in Hays. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays with the Rev. Michael Scully officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery in Hays. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Saturday, all at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Reno County or Masses, both in care of the funeral home.
