Obituary: Mrs. Mina A. Sample, 94, of Wellsboro RD 3, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1973, in Wellsboro. She was the widow of Harry Sample. Born Nov. 10, 1879, in Cross Fork, Potter county, she was a daughter of George and Jane Wilson Manning. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carrie J. Rice, of Wellsboro RD 3; three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tussey Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street [Wellsboro]. Burial was in Mount Union Cemetery (sic), Middlebury Center. The Rev. S. Mina Alice Manning married first William T. Perry (1868-1912), and they had a daughter, Carrie J. (1900-1982). In 1914 Mina married Harry Sample, of Middlebury, PA. Harry (1859-1925) is buried in Niles Valley Cemetery.
