Mrs. Arthur Vossen
St. Clair Mrs. Alice May Vossen, 83 formerly of 154 South Market Street, Marine City. died today in Faith Medical Care Facility after a long illness.

She was born September, 11 1888, in China Township. Her husband Arthur Vincent Vossen died July 26, 1939 in China
Townshp,St. Clair Michigan.

Mrs. Vossen was a member of First United Methodist Church, Marine City. They cared for several foster children in there home through the years. They raised Ralph B. McGee Oct. 4 1914=Feb 20 1986.

She is survived by a son, Robert Lee Vossen, Seattle Washington, Four grandchildren. Roberta Vossen (Ballard) of Seattle Washington, Jean Vossen of Seattle Washington. Joan Vossen of Seattle Washington and George Vossen of Seattle Washington, and Maureen McGee of Detroit,Michigan. A brother Leigh Balfour of Oak Park.

Also surviving granchildren, Mrs. Pat Johns (Williams) and Mary Williams. of Marine City. Doris Anthony niece who help care for her along with Pat Johns.

Alice loved all her children and grandchildren. Loved to
make candy and bake. She is truly missed by all.

Remains will be in L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home after 7 pm. today Funeral services will be held there at 2:pm. Saturday with Rev. Phillip Miles, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Marine City, Officiating.

Burial in Balfour Cemetery, China Township next to her husband.
