Leona E. "Dode" Herrmann, 33, wife of A.R. Herrmann, passed suddenly Saturday evening at 6 o'clock at their home, 1104 West First. Mrs. Herrmann, who gave birth to a son on March 20 in St. Catherine's hospital, had returned to her home several days ago and had been regaining her strength rapidly. She died of an embolism.

Mrs. Herrmann was born in Beatrice in 1906 and in 1930 she was married to Mr. Herrmann. They moved to McCook in 1931 to make their home. She is survived by her husband and two children, Helen and John Arthur; her mother and a brother and a sister, Mrs. Maude Lenhart and Harold of Beatrice and Mrs. Letha Lawrence of Scottsbluff.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in St. Alban's Episcopal church, with Rev. H.A. Rogers in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park. The Pade-Herrmann Funeral home is making arrangements.

Besides members of her family who are here for the funeral, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Herrmann of Osceola, Nebraska; Dr. V.A. Herrmann of Omaha; Mrs. P.W. Jacoby of Alton, Illinois; and Sam Lawrence of Scottsbluff are here to be with Mr. Herrmann and his family.
