Obituary of Joseph A. Steffey

Services for Joseph A. Steffey, 82, of 1601 Clifton av., retired carpenter and cabinetmaker, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday in Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Frederick A. Matchinski, church pastor, in charge. The body will lie in state in the church for one hour before the services.
Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Littleton Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Steffey died in Springfield City Hospital at 1 p.m. Friday following an illness of four days.
Mr. Steffey, a carpenter and cabinetmaker by trade, retired eight years ago from the employe of the Buckeye Incubator Co., Springfield, after 20 years of work in the servicing and erection of incubators.
He was born on Jan. 29, 1883 in Staunton, Va. Mr. Steffey was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert A., of New Baltimore, Mich.; one grandson and one granddaughter; two brothers, Ray, of Covington, Va., and Carl, of Staunton; one sister, Mrs. Ida Landes, also of Staunton; and several nieces and nephews.
