WILLIAM BIGLER DIES WHILE VISITING SON
FORMER FLOYD OFFICIAL BORN IN THIS COUNTY
William Bigler died Sunday night in Indianapolis while at the home of his son, Edward Bigler, in Indianapolis. He was 72 years old. He had been in poor health the past year.
Mr. Bigler was born in Morgan Township January 12, 1869 the son of Paul and Catherine Haas Bigler. He was a member of the Knights of Pythaias. He served as assessor and aas recorder of Floyd County. He was married in 1893 to Miss Hattie Bounce of New Albany. Mrs. Bigler died in August.
Mr. Bigler is survived by one son and two daughters, also, by a brother, Frank Bigler of Morgan township and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Heuser, of Wallace, Idaho. His body was brought to the Seabrook Funeral Home in New Albany Monday. Funeral services are planned for 2p.m. Wednesday.
