She was born March 25, 1911, in Wayne County a daughter of the late Millard and Ellen Lucas Lester.
Survivors include the husband, Elmer Adkins; four daughters, Mrs. Dicie Ellen Burns of Logan, Mrs. Thelma H. Adkins of Huntington, Mrs. Louise Maynard of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Scarberry of Eastlake, Ohio; three sons, Elmer Adkins Jr., of East Lynn, Anthony Adkins of Huntington, and Cecil Adkins of Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Glenna Gilkerson of Lavalette, Mrs. Inex Price of Tucson, Ariz;, three bothers, Leslie Lester of Huntington, Lonnie Lester of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Elihue Lester of East Lynn; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Morris Funeral Home.
