Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, August 26, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Cloud.

Rita was born November 28, 1931, in Melrose to Bernard and Elizabeth (Wenker) Bussmann. She married Jerome Poepping September 23, 1952, in Melrose. Rita worked on the lunch staff at St. Cloud School District 742 for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Christian Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome; daughter, Sharon Harris; sisters, Anna Mae Morrison and Bernice Thieler; and an infant son.
