August Brown, age 77 years, of 301 Buckingham Ave., died Saturday morning at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Theresa Brown; sons, William Albert, James Henry, Edward, and Alfred; daughters, Mrs. Ella Nester, Mrs. Margarette Stolte, Mrs. Lenora Elley, Mrs. Bessie Pillow, Mrs. Alice McCay, and Mrs. Hattie Hodges; sister, Mrs. Ella Reynolds. Funeral service will be Monday morning at 9:30 at the Porter Loring Chapel and at 10 o'clock at St. Cecilia Church. Interment will be in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2 under the direction of Porter Loring.
