Calvin E. Cadman
SOUTH BELOIT - Calvin Ellis Cadman, 79, 832 Roscoe Ave., former South Beloit mayor, died Monday in Madison (Wis.) General Hospital.
Mr. Cadman was a member of the first South Beloit city council after the area was incorporated. He subsequently was major from 1931 to 1935.
He also was employed for many years as an engineer for Hendley and Whittemore Co., Beloit.
Survivors include his widow, Vivian; two sons, Donald, Evansville, Wis., and Harold, Rockton; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Mezger, Rockton; 10 grandchildren, and six sisters, including Mrs. C. O. McGlauchlin and Mrs. Ralph Brown, both of Beloit, Wis.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Central Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
