MR. FINLEY MOSES JORDAN, age 85 of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 25, 2015 after an extended illness.
Finley was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, March 12, 1930 to the late George Henry and Pearl M. Arms Jordan.
Finley worked for the CSX Railroad for 40 years. He also was a farmer and like to hunt and fish when he could. Was a devoted father who loved his family very much. Finley attended Carter City Christian Holiness Church.
Surviving is a daughter- Patty Dean of Ocklawaha, Florida
One Son- Markel (Teresa) Jordan of Louisville, Kentucky.
Three Sisters- Dolly Kelly, Catherine Jordan, and Ina Horsley all of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
One Brother- Leroy Jordan of Garrison, Kentucky.
7- Grandchildren, 6-great-grandchildren, 5-step-great-grandchildren and 1-step-great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death beside his parents was his wife Margaret in 2008, a son Finley Michael Jordan, brothers- Roy Jordan, Troy Jordan, and Coy Jordan. 4- sisters- Gladeline Cassidy, Norene Rowland, Mamie Jordan, and Christine Jordan.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday August 30, 2015 at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Gary Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery.
