John Galles Claimed At 81

Came Here in 1931 from Montana

John Galles, 81 years of age and a resident of Casper since 1931, passed away Friday evening at the family home, 1910 North Lincoln St., following a long period of ill health.

Mr. Galles was born April 10, 1860, at Silver Creek, Wis. He and Anna ?ell were married Jan. 23, 1883. Of this union 11 children were born, 10 of whom survive.

Mr. Galles and his family moved to Montana in 1912 where he was engaged in ranching at Broadview, ? miles north of Billings, until coming to Casper.

He is survived by his wife at the family home and by the following children: Mrs. Rose Zirbes, Port Washington, Wis.; William Galles, Casper; Mrs. Ida Seeley, Oakland, Calif.; Frank Galles, Billings, Mont.; Mrs. Gertrude Wolf, Ismay, Mont.; Oscar Galles, Chicago; Walter Galles, Casper; Gilbert Galles, Casper; Mrs. Adeline Hanley, Billings, Mont.; Mrs. Mabel Wise, Helena, Mont. One child died in 1902 at the age of three years.

There will be recitation of the rosary at 8 o'clock Monday night at the Bustard funeral home. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9:30 Tuesday morning from the Catholic Church of St. Anthony, with Father Thomas F. O'Reilly officiating. Interment will be in Highland cemetery.
