Oscar A. Klumpp

Oscar A. Klumpp, one of the founders of Normal Sanitary dairy, died at 4:10 p. m. Friday in Brokaw hospital following a 17 year illness. He had been a patient at the hospital for a week preceding his death.

Funeral services will be at 3:80 p. m. Monday at the Stubblefield and Son Memorial home where the body was taken. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial park cemetery.

Mr. Klumpp was born Feb. 6, 1895, in Plainfield, son of Charles and Amelia Klumpp. He married Gladys King of Normal Sept. 15, 1923. The Klumpps moved to Normal in 1929 when Mr. Klump helped start Normal Sanitary
dairy from Peoria where he had also been in the dairy business.

He was forced to retire from active business participation in 1932 due to ill health.

Mr. Klumpp, whose home was at 306 South School street, Normal, was a member of the Carl S. Martin post of the American Legion and a veteran of World War I.

In addition to his wile at home he is survived by a sister, Miss Martha Klumpp, a niece and two grand nephews, all of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Funeral services for Oscar A. Klumpp, 306 South School street, Normal, were held at 3:30 p. m. Monday at the Stubblefield and Son Memorial home, the Rev. R. J. Zehr officiating. Mrs. Ora Byerly sang. Burial was in East Lawn Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers were Claude Donald Rynell, Roy J. Bryan, Ralph E. Deal, Edward J. Bryan, Wayne Lasky and M. L. Hurless. Guest from out of town were: Mrs. Albert DeWilde and Mrs. Fannie Brown, both of Roanoke; Robert Rynell, Mrs. Ruddy Bowers and Miss Martha Klump, all of Peoria; Albert King of Detroit, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Deal of Le Roy; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Deal of Downs; Mr. and Mrs. L. Eskridge of Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Alvis of Randolph.
