Marion married Richard John Woolnough (1916-1958) on the 10 July 1940 at The Armidale Church of England. In April 1944 they moved to Armidale, New South Wales.
They had two children, Peter Richard Woolnough (entertainer Peter Allen) b Feb 1944 in Tenterfield New South Wales, died June 1992 at Mercy Hospital, San Diego, California. He had been living in Leucadia Encinatia, California, and Lynne Woolnough (Cropp-Smith) b 1948 in Armidale, New South Wales.
On November 15, 1958 Marion’s husband Richard shot and killed himself. Shortly thereafter, Marion and the two children moved to Lismore, New South Wales. They stayed there until 1962 when they moved to the Gold Coast of Queensland.
In 1963 they move to Bondi Beach, New South Wales.
