CASSIDY Mary-Elizabeth (Aunt Bessie) On Sunday, January 3, 1999, in her 80th year, surrounded in love by her caregivers Jean (Cassidy) and Marcel Whissell and her extended family at Extendicare/Medex. Devoted daughter of the late Patrick J. Cassidy and the late Jane Ladusky Last. Survived by her dear sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Frank (Raj) Tourgis of West Vancouver, B.C., many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and her dear friend Carm Nicholson. Predeceased by 3 brothers, Patrick J. (late Helen), Michael J. (late Muriel) and Bernard M. (Phyllis). As per Bessie's request there will be no visitation. Cremation and graveside service at Beechwood Cemetery on Friday, January 8, 1999, at 11 a.m. The Cassidy and Whissell Families wish to express sincere thanks to all nursing staff and volunteers of Extendicare/Medex for their kindness. A special thank you to Dr. Ivy Michel, Sue Cassidy and Veronica Francis for their kind words of encouragement in difficult times. Rest well dear Bess, you have finally found peace and are free from all your pain. You will be forever loved and fondly remembered.
