Deitrich was a farmer last known to be living in Middlecreek Township, Somerset County, PA with his wife Sara Shaulis Kreger in the 1880 census. There are many deed transfers between Deitrich and others in the Somerset County Recorder of Deeds. His son-in-law, Alexander Campbell Moore was given power of attorney, and did indeed purchase the farm from Dietrich. There is no will or reference to his death in Somerset County, however. His father's history references his move to Kansas late in life.
