MONTICELLO - Roberta Annette Traxler Alexander, 80, formerly of Monticello, died 8:55 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 29, 2000) in her home in Beaumont, Texas.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Brintlinger's Cerro Gordo Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in LaPlace Cemetery. Memorials: North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 N. 16h Street, Orange, TX 77632 or Southeast Texas Hospice, Box 2385, Orange, TX 77631.

Mrs. Alexander was born October 21, 1920, in Piatt County, the daughter of Emery and Emma Ernst Traxler. She married Vernie Alexander April 4, 1942, in Boiling Green, Mo. He preceded her in death August 30, 1997.

Surviving are her sons, Daniel Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Samuel Alexander of Orange; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
