Lorraine Y. Buchanan, 67, of Mansfield, died early Monday morning, October 10, 2005, at SCCI Hospital. Born September 12, 1938, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Simon A. and Mary Ehrmantrout Blank. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Peter's High School and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Buchanan loved reading, shopping, and going to the Dairy Queen. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie M. George Angelas and Terri L. Steve Dorner, all of Mansfield; son, William N. Buchanan, Jr. of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Andrea Trevor Hershner, Steven Dorner, Peter Angelas, Chelsey Dorner, Kelley Dorner, Maria Angelas, Rebecca Buchanan, and Emma Buchanan; three brothers, Harvey Martha Blank of Florida, Orrville Judy Blank and Donald Nancy Blank, all of Mansfield; three sisters, Florence Smalley of Florida, Debby Robert Fancher of Mansfield and Joyce James Gleason of Butler; a brother-in-law, Dale Reed of Bellville; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Carney of Georgia; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 29 years, William Buchanan, sister, Doris Reed, brother, Charles Blank and brother-in-law, Robert Buchanan.
Friends may call Thursday, October 13, from 6-9 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, with Vigil prayer services at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, conducted by Father John Brennen. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
