He had worked for the Riegel Paper Corp and had retired in 1962. He was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Milford; the Quarter Century Club and the Old Timer's Club of Riegel.
He was predeceased by his wife, Almedia Carbone.
He was survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Dilello and Miss Teresa Ann Carbone, with whom he lived in Milford, Mrs. Lawrence Fitzgerald, of Milford, and five grandchildren.
He was also survived by three brothers and three sisters: Joseph Sr. and Alfred, both of Lambertville, Anthony, of East Orange, Mrs. Lena Mengoni of Mercerville, and Mrs. Elizabeth Gullick and Mrs. Helen McKelvy, both of Lambertville.
His obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on August 26, 1971.
