"Harold J. Vossen, 70, Poplar Bluff, formerly of Jefferson City died Monday at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff. He was born Oct. 18, 1920, in Loose Creek, a son of Henry and Minnie Lock Vossen. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Sept. 7, 1983, in Mountain View, to Louise Isbell, who survives at the home. He was employed with the U.S. Post Office in Jefferson City for 33 years until his retirement. He was a member of the disabled veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion in Jefferson City and the Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff. Other survivors include: one daughter, Barbara Bruce, Jefferson City; two brothers, John Vossen, Jefferson City, and Ralph Vossen, St. Peters; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dulle Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to Helias Capital Improvements Fund." [JCNP, Tuesday-03/12/1991]
