Christian F Mueller was born in Nagold, Germany and came to America in 1866. The following year in 1867 he founded C.F. Mueller Macaroni Co., Mueller's has become a staple in American households, becoming one of the country's most popular pasta brands, with a dominant presence in the east. The company started when Christian Frederick Mueller, an immigrant baker in New Jersey, began selling his kitchen-made noodles door-to-door from a wicker basket. Mueller's noodle trade grew as he added spaghetti and macaroni to his product offerings.

AIPC acquired the Mueller's brand in 2000.
