Born May 18, 1910, in rural Wilmont, he was the son of Henry and Otilla Schmit Balster.
He attended school in Wilmont. He lived most of his life in Wilmont. He was a farmer. He was a member of our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont.
Surviving are one brother, Alex Balster, Wilmont; and two sisters, Helen Balster and Pauline Broich, both of Wilmont.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm today at Lynch Funeral Home Wilmont, with parish prayers at 8pm
The service will be 10:30am Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Wilmont, with the Rev. Don Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
