Mr. Lerch died at his home in Mount Airy, MD, on March 20th after a 2-1/2 year battle with cancer. He had been given the honor of 4th Degree Knight by the Knights of Columbus and had been involved with several nonprofit organizations involving children. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Lerch in October 2005. He leaves his mother, Joan Lerch, and his brother, Tony Quintana; his grandparents, Lenore & Thomas Lerch of Cheverly, MD, and Delores & Frank Biahnik of Laurel, MD, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and companion, Abigail. His funeral Liturgy was held on Friday, March 24, 2006, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Eldersburg, MD, Rev. Pat Tonry officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery. Haight Funeral Home & Chapel of Sykesville, MD, assisted the Lerch family with the arrangements.
