Pete worked in the mines for U.S. Steel and J&L Steel as an iron ore analyst. He enjoyed his many trips to the casinos with his wife, Mardell, along with his model trains, working on different wood projects with his many tools and most importantly, his family.
He is survived by his second wife, Mardell; son, Pete (Peggy); daughter, Laura (John) Burger; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers-in-law, Marshall Mayry and Mark (Charlene) Mayry; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Emma Lackner, and sisters: Pearl Lonchar, Emma Armstrong, Viola Prosa and Glady Bertnick.
