22 March 2003: Ada Kreiser, a resident of Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon, celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday, March 21, with a party for more than 170 guests at the Ono Fire Hall. Mrs. Kreiser, daughter of the late Mary and Harry Rhoad, was born on the family farm in East Hanover Township on March 21, 1903. She was the third of seven children and attended the Murray School until the eighth grade. In 1922, she married Lester Kreiser and the couple settled in McGillstown. They had 10 children: Carl of Aurora, Colo.; Gladys Royer of Grantville; Carrie Walmer of Jonestown; Doris Dundore of Lebanon; Ruth Mindy of Fredericksburg; Mary Risser of Lebanon; Richard of Concord, Calif.; Merlin of Blue Springs, Mo.; Glenn of Ono; and the late Lester Jr. Mrs. Kreiser is a member of the East Hanover Church of God in Grantville and, until recently, enjoyed crocheting. Descendants include 29 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. [Lebanon Daiyl News]

Born March 21, 1903, in East Hanover Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Sattasahn Rhoad. She was a member of East Hanover Church of God. Surviving are sons Carl R., husband of Theresa Kreiser of Aurora, CO, Richard K. Kreiser of Concorde, CA, Merlin H., husband of Jeanette Kreiser of Blue Springs, MO, and Glenn A., husband of Helen Kreiser of Annville; daughters Gladys A., wife of John Royer of Annville, Carrie E. Walmer of Jonestown, Doris K., wife of Lee Dundore, and Mary K. Risser, both of Lebanon, and Ruth K. Mindy of Fredericksburg; brother Roy Rhoad of Grantville; sister Violet Killinger of Jonestown; 29 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Lester H. Kreiser Jr., brothers Warren and Ernest Rhoad, and sisters Carrie Smith and Iva Elliott.
