Services were held at the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home for Mrs. Eva Cynthia (Tomlinson) Schlesinger, 77, who died at the Rushington Nursing Home after a short illness. The widow of Harry Schlesinger, she had been a resident of Depot St. for nine years. She was born in England, the daughter of Denzil and Jane (Limer) Tomlinson, and moved to Canada at the age of 17. Mrs. Schlesinger lived in Toronto for 10 years before moving to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where she resided for 20 years. In 1961 she settled in Dennis Port. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the grange in Poughkeepsie. She also held membership in Christ Church Episcopal of Harwich Port, Masona Chapter O.E.S of West Harwich, Star Club, Village Improvement Club of Dennis Port, Dennis Women's Club, Dennis Garden Club and Cape Cod Hospital Aid Association.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Gamey of Orono, Ontario, and Mrs. Gladys Roper of Toronto, and one brother, Victor Tomlinson of Toronto. Burial was in Swan Lake Cemetery.
