Poser Dies After Auto Hits Tree
Asleep At Wheel Causes Accident, Claim Officials
Apparently asleep at the wheel of his automobile, Alfred Alexander Poser, widely known farmer of the Lodi district, crashed into a tree at the intersection of the Armstrong road and Cherokee Lane at an early hour yesterday morning receiving injuries from which he died three hours later in a hospital. His home was at route 3, box 440, Lodi, where he arose at an early hour yesterday morning to sulphur one of his vineyards. He was on his way about 4 a.m. when the accident occurred.
Poser was 66 years of age and had been a resident of this district for many years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sadie Poser. He was the brother of Harry Poser, Lodi; Otto Poser, Woodbridge; Mrs. Vera Smiley, Hayward; Mrs. Charles Hoag, Livingston; the late Carl Poser of Lodi and the late Mrs. Annie Norwood, Los Angeles. He was the uncle of Amos and Frank Poser, Lodi.
