PATRICK CAMPBELL
(1935-2022)

Patrick Leon Campbell, age 86, of Sun Prairie passed away on May 22, 2022. He was born November 21, 1935, in Dougherty, Iowa the son of James Leon Campbell and Helen Marie (Jessup) Campbell. He married DeLores (Herzog) Campbell on June 6, 1959, in Mason City, Iowa.

Patrick spent 2 years in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Healy. Afterward, his main career was in electrical distribution, sales, and inventory control. A job transfer brought Patrick and his family to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin from Mason City, Iowa in August of 1970.

Following retirement, he found enjoyment and fulfillment in voluntary service. At one point his voluntary schedule was daily, including being a meal delivery driver, bus driver to Sunshine Suppers, working at The Red Barn, and Badger Honor Flight. Patrick's other calling was working as a Colonial Club Commentator at the local Sun Prairie Media Center. He was also a member of the Colonial Club Chorus and Band. He enjoyed spending time with family, golfing, bowling, enjoying Big Band music and trivia, singing Irish songs and telling tall tales.

Patrick is survived by four daughters; one son; six grandsons; a brother and a sister, Marlene (Les) McAuliffe.

Patrick was preceded in death by his wife DeLores (Herzog) Campbell and parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Hearts Church, 221 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 27th. Visitation will be held at 9:30 AM until the time of service. A luncheon will follow at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to The Colonial Club and Sacred Hearts Endowment Fund
