Fireman Pratt Fletcher died at the Baird-Brewer Hospital, Dyersburg, TN at 10:00 AM. He was fightiing a fire at the Tennessee Hotel when at about 5:45 AM the south wall fell killing another firemen instantly and badly injuring another. Pratt suffered from head injuries, a crushed chest, and a broken leg. He was survived by his widow, Mattie Fonville Fletcher, a son, Boyd Fletcher and a daughter, Mrs Dorris (Leon) Fuller.
