LANNON, JOHN F., 87, of Frank St. died Wednesday at Grandview Nursing Home, Cumberland.
He was the husband of Ruth E. (Earnshaw) Lannon.
Mr. Lannon was born in Providence, a son of the late John and Anne (McDonald) Lannon. He had lived most of his life in Lincoln.
Mr. Lannon was employed by Uniroyal as a Labor Relations Representative for 30 years until his retirement in 1977.
Mr. Lannon was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He served with General William Westmoreland in 9th Infantry Division and 8 campaigns from England to Africa to Germany.
He graduated from Lowell Tech in Massachusetts.
He was active in local and state AARP and taught '55 alive' safe driving classes.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, a daughter, two step-daughters, three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great-grandson, and ten step-great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Anna H. Lannon, and step-father of the late Donna Gamage.
