LYNN HAZARD, 54, DIES SUDDENLY RITES SATURDAY

Lynn Hazard, 54, a World War veteran, died suddenly at Kilgore, Idaho July 11. The remains have been brought to Dillon for funeral and burial. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Brundage Chapel with the Rev. Z.A. Jumper of the Methodist church officiating. Legion rites will be performed at the graveside in the Legion plot at Mountain View cemetery.

Mr. Hazard had worked on ranches in our county for 40 years, more recently for Dave Hagenbarth. He was born Aug. 14, 1905 at Newport, Neb., and came to our county at the age of 14 from Lander, Wyo., where his family had moved. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 20 of Dillon and of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna Hazard and sisters Mrs. Winnie Fairless and Mrs. Lottie Fields all of Lander, Wyo.; brothers Frank, Sioux City, Iowa; William, Omaha, Neb.; Walter, Bassett, Neb.; Fred, Eugene, Ore.; and Charles of Springfield, Ore. There are also several nieces and nephews.
