Mrs. Katherine Walters, 84, 4109 Garden Lane, died Thursday, Aug. 23, at a Topeka nursing home.

She was born April 29, 1900, the daughter of George and Marie Katherine Brumgard Zeiler. She lived in Loveland Colo., until 1922 when she moved to LaJunta, Colo. She returned to Loveland in 1960 and moved to Topeka in June 1972.

Mrs. Walters was a member of First Congregational Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both at Loveland.

She was married to John J. Walters March 31, 1919, at Denver. He died April 14, 1977.

Survivors include three sons, Wilbert E Walters, Topeka, Ret. Col. Vernon J. Walters, Oklahoma City, and Ret. col. Marvin Lee Walters, Conifer, Colo.; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Lebsack, Mrs. Mildred Rein, Mrs. Ruth Eskam and Mrs. Rachel Schreiner, all of Scottsbluf, Neb.; three brothers, George Zeiler, Manuel Zeiler and Harold Zeiler, all of Scottsbluff, Neb.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Congregational Church, Loveland. Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, 800 N.
