Sylvia Patricia "Pat" Casteel Booth, 72, of Athens, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 28, 2015, at her home and is now singing in the presence of the Lord.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late William Luther "Luke" and Anna Mae Womac Casteel, and was also preceded in death by sisters, Agnes Moore and Johnnie Barton; brothers, Ed Casteel and Bill Casteel; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Moore and Paul Burnette.

She worked as a beautician for many years and also worked as a Realtor. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, David F. Booth of Athens; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Billy Moore of Niota, and Tiffany and Richard Cardin of Athens; goddaughter, Nicole Andrano of Athens; sisters and spouses, Pauline Burnette of Kingston, and Teresa and Don Bradford of Athens; sisters-in-law, Ada Casteel of Athens, and Barbara Casteel of Chickamauga, Ga.; brother and spouse, Steve and Betty Casteel of Athens; brother-in-law, Frank Barton of Athens; brother and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Wanda Booth of Alabama, and Sandra Blackburn of Alabama; grandchildren, Clay and Amber Moore of Athens, Joshua and Whitney Moore of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Skylar Moore of Niota; great-grandchildren, Kyla, Kaitlyn, John Ryan and Nick Moore; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank Caris Hospice, and to thank special caregivers, Kim Moses, Cyndi Crabtree, Katie Moore, and Karen Aikman.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Arwood officiating.

Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Steve Casteel, Don Bradford, Richard Cardin, Clay Moore, Joshua Moore, Skylar Moore, and Billy Moore.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
