CARL J. HAENDEL, 538 Third Ave., West Bend died Tuesday morning unexpectedly at St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.

He was born May 28, 1920 in West Bend. He attended local schools graduating from West Bend High School with the class of 1940.

He then started working at the West Bend Co. and worked there until he entered World War II on May 30, 1944 where he served until his honorable discharge June 1, 1946. He returned to The West Bend Co. and was employed there up to the time of his death.

He was married to Lorraine Blohm at Mayville May 1, 1948.

He is survived by his wife, five children, David (Mary), West Bend, Thomas (Elaine) Kewaskum, Judith, Richard, and Steven, all at home.

Further surviving are four grandchildren, three sisters, Ermine (James) Crass, West Bend, Kathleen (Donald) Yost, West Allis, June (Edward) Runge, Florida, and one brother, William (Marie), DeKalb, Ill. Three brothers have predeceased.

Funeral services Friday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home. Rev. Marwood Retig will officiate.

Intement Union Cemetery, West Bend.
