Rita Theresa Fuecker, 88, of Mankato, formerly of Willmar, died Friday at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
The service was Tuesday at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born Jan. 14, 1921, in Alberta to Adolph and Catherine (Ritter) Helsper. She attended Alberta Public Schools where she graduated. She continued her education at beauty school in Minneapolis.

She married Vernon Fuecker on Nov. 5, 1942, in Morris. They lived in Morris before moving to Willmar in 1966. They operated golf courses in Morris and Willmar until Vernon's death in 1967. She resumed her beautician career and worked as a bookkeeper for Thrifty-Snyder Drug Stores for many years until she retired. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Does and the Church of St. Mary where she belonged to Daughter's of Isabella.

She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy; son and daughter-in-law: Steve and Sherida Fuecker; two sisters; and one brother.
