Rites Held Sunday for Johann Stover
Johann Heinrich Adoph Stover, 61, died last Thursday afternoon at the family home northeast of Scribner. He had been in failing health for the past six years. He was born March 4, 1888 and passed away at the age of 61 years 11 months and 19 days. The deceased was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
John Stover leaves to mourn his departure, his father, J. H. Stover, 2 brothers, Henry of Oakland and Fred at home, and three sisters, Anna, Mrs. Wm. Luebker of Oakland, Rickie and Bertha at home and a nephew, Vernon Luebker.
Funeral services were held on Sunday from the Spear Funeral Home and St. John's Lutheran Church, northeast of Scribner, Rev. Herman Joens officiating. Interment was in St. John's church cemetery. Pallbearers were Loran Pfeiffer, Bernard Von Seggern, August Kruger, Fred Naber, Fred Von Seggern and Melvin Von Seggern. Relatives and friends from Oakland, Uehling, Scribner, Hooper, Pilger, Herman and Arlington attended the services.
