Rickie Stover Dies Thursday
Rickie Stover died at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point Thursday, Oct. 30. She was born Dec. 16, 1893 on a farm Northeast of Scribner, to Johann H. Stover and Johanna Maas. She attended School Dist. #83 for 8 grades. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church on the Cuming Co. Line; also the L.C.W. at St. John's and United Lutheran of Scribner. She was confirmed at St. John's March 16, 1908. Rickie lived on the farm place until June of 1950 and then moved to Scribner where she lived with her brother, Fred and sister, Bertha. In July 1978 she entered the Good Samaritan Center which has been her home for the last 2 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, John and Henry; 2 sisters, Anna and Bertha. She is survived by one brother, Fred, at the Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 3, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cuming Co. Line. Rev. Ed Hunzeker officiated the 10:30 a.m. services. Mrs. Wilbert Von Seggern was organist with music by the congregation. Pallbearers were Wilbert Von Seggern, Lowell Weitzenkamp, Wm. Pfeiffer, Duane and Clinton Von Seggern, and Clinton Grunke. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery with arrangements by Spear Funeral Home.
