Mrs. Blanche E. Cahaney, 72, Karlen Road, died Wednesday evening at the Rome Hospital after a brief illness.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. Kenneth Mortis, town of Lee, five sisters, Mrs. Sidney Bebee, South Bay, Mrs. Merritt Freeman, Rome, Mrs. Louis Hartston, and Mrs. Richard John, Lee Center, and Mrs. Elmer Anderson, Camden, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Gary Higgins, Palmyra and James Mortis, Lake Delta.
Daughter of Albert and Louise Haar Affolter, she was born in Westernville on January 20, 1888, and had lived in Rome most of her life. She was married to David Cahaney 47 years ago. He died November 5, 1944.
From then until seven years ago Mrs. Cahaney worked at the Revere canteen. She attended the Delta Methodist Church.
