Mrs. Stricker came to Scottsbluff, NE October 25, 1912 with her husband Jacob Steinbrecher from Russia on the ship Haverford which had departed from Liverpool, England into the port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It arrived October, 22 1912, so them immediately made passage to Scottsbluff.

After Jacob's death in 1914, Eva married Henry Stricker in 1916. She and her husband farmed in the valley for 31 years. She moved into Scottsbluff after the death of Henry in 1947. She was a member of the Salem Congregational Church and the Church Brotherhood.

Daughter Mrs Mary Schanaman, sons Jake, Dave, Harry and Reuben. 12 grandchildren and 15 great-granchildren

Two husbands, two sons and two daughters preceded her in death.
