Kathleen Annette Covay, 71, passed from the world early Sunday morning, July 5, 2015, at her residence in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born in Tacoma, Wash, on Oct 12, 1943.
In the mid - 1960s, Kathy met her future husband while working in Yellowstone National Park. During their 49 years together, she and her husband travelled around the U. S. having lived in California, Colorado, Louisiana and , finally, Nevada. Kathy had resided in Nevada for the past 25 years. She lived in Meeker from 1975 to 1983.
She was known for her kindness and generosity to others, and is remembered with great affection.
Kathy is survived by: her husband, Kenneth J. Covay; her brother, Walter P. Hofmann; and her son, Jeff, and his wife, Elizabeth. Kathy is also the proud grandmother of Lucy, Henry and Thomas Covy.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Harriett Hofmann; her sister, Sharon Reese and her younger son, Brian D. Covay
Visitation was held Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at 11 a.m. with funeral services following at noon, both at Palm Mortuary-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, Nev.
Donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the M.D. Anderson Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
