Barb died Monday, June 29, 1987 at the Dows Care Center where she had resided since June 15, 1987.
She was born in Clarion, Iowa June 7, 1928 and was the daughter of S. J. (Peck) and Viola (Bobby) Banks West. She was reared and educated in Clarion and graduated from the Clarion High School in 1946. On January 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert Barz in Albert Lea, Minnesota. After their marriage they made their home in Dows.
Barb was a member of the Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Trust Twenty Club.
Survivors include her parents of Clarion; husband, Robert; one son, Lynn of Dows; one daughter, Kristi Christensen of Clarion; two grandchildren and two sisters, Jeanne Hinkle of Kansas and Judy Morris of Kanawha. She was preceded in death by one brother and one son.
