Lillian Fredericke Marie Koether-Schwertlich passed away at the age of 93 in Boerne, Texas, on Sunday, December 20, 2015.
She was born at home in Wilson County, Texas, to parents Alfred Johann Christian Koether and Natalie Wahl on July 12, 1921.
On July 26, 1941, she married William Paul Schwertlich in Floresville.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Alfred J. C. and Natalie Koether; brothers, Arthur Heinrich Koether, Harry Wilhelm Koether and wife Emma; brother-in-law, Gail Higginson; and grandson, Justin Jay Johnson III.
A funeral service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church of Boerne on December 30, 2015, at 10:30 a.m.
A time of visiting will immediately follow in the parish hall.
A graveside service, open to all, will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Mission South Cemetery (1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, TX 78214).
