Dies Suddenly Monday Night at His No. Bennington Home
Friends and neighbors were shocked to learn of the sudden death of Alfred L. Kipp at midnight Monday at his home on Bank street in North Bennington.
Mr. Kipp had been in his usual health until about a week ago when he suffered a heart attack. He was born at Arlington, the son of Julia Thomas Kipp and John Kipp. He spent his younger life in Arlington and Cambridge. About thirty-seven years ago he married Miss Florence Allen after which they resided at the State Line farm until about seven years ago when they moved to North Bennington. At the time of his death he was employed at Bennington College.
A man always interested in his home and family, friendly to all, he will be greatly missed by a large number of friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife; his mother, Mrs. Julia Kipp of Gloversville, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Frederick Knapp, Miss Constance Kipp of North Bennington, Mrs. Walter Allen of North Hoosac, N.Y.; and two sons, Chas. Kipp of North Bennington and Harold Kipp of Moline, Ill. He also leaves seven brothers, two sisters, and three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon from his late home at 3 o'clock Rev. Sydney Buckham, pastor of the Congregational church of North Bennington will officiate.
