RACINE - Clara Dexter Uebe, 80, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center on Wednesday, January 7, 1998.
Mrs. Uebe was born in Racine on June 17, 1917, daughter of the late Earl and Grace Post Dexter. On May 25, 1935, she was united in marriage to Phillip H. Uebe who preceded her in death on September 11, 1984.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include her son, Phillip (Carol) Uebe of Racine; her daughter, Grace (Daniel) Flanagan of Racine; grandchildren, Phillip M. Uebe, David F. Uebe, Paul J. Uebe, Mary (Gary) Brownell, Thomas (Patricia) Flanagan all of Racine, James Flanagan of Honolulu, Hawaii; step-grandchildren, Cheri Bloxdorf and Brian Bloxdorf of Racine; eight great-grandchildren; brother, James (Sharon) Reynolds of Minocqua; sister, Viola (Robert) Layton of Racine; two brothers-in-law, Victor Uebe of Racine and Richard Uebe of Minnesota; three sisters-in-law, Helen Phillips, Sophie Uebe both of Racine, and Rose Triese of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 1998, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Cary J. Winn officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until time of service. Memorials to the First Reformed Church have been suggested by the family.
