Edward A. Kerkhoff, 90, of Fort Thomas, KY, formerly of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on December 16, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood, KY where he was fortified with the Last Rites of his beloved Catholic faith. He was a personnel director with Emory Industries, Cincinnati, OH and was a bridal photographer in Mason, OH. He was U.S. Navy WW II and Korean War veteran serving in the Seabees and a member of James W. Costigan American Legion Post # 11, Newport, KY. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Joni Kerkhoff, grandson Brandon Gromada, granddaughter Sarah Kerkhoff and brother Don Kerkhoff. Mr. Kerkhoff is survived by his wife of 66 years Mary C. "Peachee" Kerkhoff (nee: Purcell) of Fort Thomas, KY; children Karen (Dr. Joseph) Gromada of Bellevue, KY, Jim (Betsy Madden) Kerkhoff of Burke, VA, Betsy (Deacon Henry) Jacquez of Norwood, OH, Kathryn Coffelt of Ashville, NC, Eric Kerkhoff of Naperville, ILL, Anne (David) Harrison of Wytteville, VA, and Marti (Sean) Wallace of West Chester, OH; 17 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren; sisters Rosemary Hoffman of Cincinnati, OH, Joanne Schunder of Devon, PA and Sue Hinkel of Cincinnati, OH; and brothers Robert Kerkhoff of Covington, KY and Ray Kerkhoff of Winter Garden, FL. Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, KY followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Burial will take place in the Mother of God Cemetery, Covington, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Tuition Fund, 4011 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 or to the Brandon C.
