Concetta Arturi or Desanto was born April 1, 1864 in Italy to Henry Desanto and Mary Antonio Seppa. Her death certificate lists maiden name Desanto, and daughter Anna's lists DeSanta and both were filled out by Peter. Son Paul's death certificate lists her as Arturi, and was filled out by his half-sister Evelyn.

Whether Peter and Concetta arrived together in the U.S. is unclear, but there is a ship record for a Concetta De Santo age 29, born about 1863, arriving on July 14, 1892 on the ship “Neustria,” that departed from Naples, Italy. The first child was born about 1893, so a possibility?

Concetta was the first wife of Peter Mazza. Some of their children were: Saveria (Sarah) 1893, Frank 1895, Christiana 1896, Mary 1899, Annie Lucia 1900, and Peter Paul 1902.

Concetta died on Feb. 20, 1908 at Lock Haven, PA. She was 44 years old, married, and lived at Hanna St. Concetta was buried on Feb. 24th.
